Small Batch Honey
What is small batch honey? Most beekeepers only harvest once or twice a year (Spring & Fall). We harvest 3 to 6 times in the Spring and 2-4 times in the Fall. The result is honey with known vintages. Taste the progression of Spring! Honey contains flavor profiles from flowers blooming over 2 to 4 weeks periods.
WaX Products
Bulk wax, candles, soap, cremes and more. Wax is an essential resource in the hive and MutualBeesDC currently minimizes the amount of wax taken from the hive. Candle supplies are limited and seasonal.
Classes
We offer the full range of beekeeping knowledge. MutualBeesDC provides fundamental knowledge on the bees as well as the lesser known tasks of beekeeping (constructing hive boxes, frame building, honey harvesting, swarm capturing, tai-chi-keeping…and on and on).
Swarm Removal
Current beekeeper-in-residence has applied rusty rock-climbing skills to retrieve bees from roofs, attics, trees, fences and beyond. Call us (not pest control) if you see a swarm of bees.
